The Shwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon is also known as the Golden or Golden Dragon Pagoda. Its 98 metres high main structure is coverd by 22.000 solid gold plates. Estimates of the amount of gold needed for the task range from 9 to 60 tonnes.

Bagan and Mandalay are highly spiritual places as well

In and around Bagan, there are some 2000(!) temples, pagodas and countless buddha statues to be explored

Angkor Wat was originally built as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu but towards the end of the 12 century rededicated as a Buddhist temple complex in Cambodia. It is the largest religious monument in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. The site I liked most was the Tah Prohm temple, where parts of the Tomb Raider action movie was shot. Gigantic trees are slowy taking posession and overgrowing temple grounds.

My favourite place would have to be World Heritage listed Luang Prabang. Steeped in spirituality, its a feast for the senses.
